This Platform Policy describes how the MoiMatch platform operates: what it consists of, the standards content must meet, how moderation works, what technical limits apply, and how responsibility is allocated between the Service Provider and the people who use the platform.

It supplements the Terms of Use and forms part of the same agreement. Where a rule appears in both documents, they are read together; the Terms prevail in case of direct conflict. Words defined in the Terms have the same meaning here.

1. What the platform is

The MoiMatch platform consists of:

the application programming interface that holds the data and enforces every rule;
the website at moimatch.org, including the service pages for e-mail confirmation, password reset, account deletion and these documents;
the Android and iOS applications;
the Telegram bot;
the file storage that serves photographs and voice messages;
the administration panel used by authorised staff for moderation.

One account works on all clients: the data, the rules and the restrictions are the same everywhere, because every client speaks to the same interface. The set of features available on a given client may differ — the Telegram bot, for example, works within the limits of Telegram.

The platform is a technical intermediary. It stores and transmits material created by Users; it does not create, select, endorse or verify that material.

2. Operating principles

Adults only. The platform is available to people aged 18 and over. There is no section, mode or setting for minors.
Rules are enforced on the server. Every action — who may write to whom, who may see what, what limits apply — is checked by the interface, not by the client. A modified client gains nothing.
Consent-based contact. A conversation can start only after a mutual like, or when the other person has liked you first. Nobody can write to you out of nowhere.
You choose how exact your location is. Profiles show a distance, never coordinates. On the map, choosing a city places you at a random point inside it; placing a point yourself shows exactly that point.
Content is retained. Deletion removes material from view; it does not erase it from our systems. See section 7.2 and the Privacy Policy.
No advertising, no tracking. The platform contains no advertising networks, no marketing trackers and no analytics services.
Every administrative action is logged. Including a look at a profile or a dialogue.

3. Rules of use

3.1. Account

one person — one account; a second account to evade a restriction is itself a violation;
the date of birth, gender and photographs must be your own and true;
accounts may not be sold, rented, shared or transferred;
you are responsible for everything done through your account.

3.2. Interaction with other people

respect a refusal: if someone stops answering, deletes the dialogue or blocks you, do not try to reach them again through a new account;
do not send sexual content to a person who has not asked for it;
do not use the platform to promote anything, to recruit for other services, or to solicit money in any form;
do not publish, forward or threaten to publish private correspondence, photographs or personal details of another person;
report abuse instead of answering it in kind: the “Report” control is in every profile, card and dialogue.

3.3. Technical limits and automated access

The platform applies rate limits and quotas — on registration, sign-in, captcha requests, uploads, swipes, messages and reports — to protect Users and infrastructure. Their values may change at any time without notice. Attempting to bypass them is a violation.

automated access (bots, crawlers, scripts, emulators, modified or third-party clients) is prohibited without our prior written permission;
bulk or systematic collection of profile data, photographs, messages or statistics is prohibited in any form;
load testing, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing of our infrastructure are prohibited without our prior written permission;
file links are unguessable and permanent; publishing them outside the Service, or building any index, mirror or archive of them, is prohibited.

4. Content standards

4.1. General requirements

Everything published on the platform must be lawful, must belong to you or be published with the rights holder’s permission, and must not infringe anyone’s rights. You must be able to demonstrate, on request, that you had the right to publish it and that every identifiable adult shown in it consented.

4.2. Photographs

the album holds photographs of you; the first one is your card and your avatar;
photographs are re-encoded on upload — this strips all metadata, including GPS tags — and are stored under random unguessable names;
photographs of other people, of children, of documents, of contact details, of goods for sale or of advertising material do not belong in a dating profile and are removed;
nudity and sexually explicit imagery are not permitted anywhere on the platform, including in chat.

4.3. Prohibited content

The following is prohibited without exception and leads to removal and, in serious cases, to an immediate permanent block:

any material involving a minor in a sexual or exploitative context, and any attempt to obtain such material or to approach a minor (see the Child Safety Policy);
pornography and sexually explicit material;
material depicting or glorifying violence, cruelty, self-harm or suicide;
incitement to hatred, discrimination, terrorism or extremism;
threats, harassment, blackmail and intimidation;
fraud in any form, including romance and investment scams and phishing;
offers of prostitution, escort services, human trafficking, drugs, weapons or other prohibited goods and services;
personal data of third parties published without their consent;
impersonation of another person or organisation, including our staff;
spam, advertising, referral links and mass identical messages;
malicious code, phishing links and anything designed to compromise a device or an account;
anything else that is unlawful under the law applicable to you.

Absolute prohibition. Material involving the sexual exploitation of minors leads to an immediate and permanent block, and the account data and material are passed to the competent authorities and to specialised child-protection organisations without prior notice to the account holder.

4.4. Intellectual property complaints

If content on the platform infringes your rights, write to info@moimatch.org and include:

your name and contact details;
a link to the profile or the content complained of, and the date and time you saw it;
a description of the right you hold and the basis for it;
a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate.

We examine complete notices within a reasonable time and may remove or hide the content while we do so. Deliberately false notices are an abuse of this procedure and may lead to loss of access to the platform.

5. Moderation and enforcement

Content is not reviewed before publication. Moderation is reactive and combines User reports, automated anti-abuse signals and manual review by authorised staff.

Depending on the seriousness of the violation, its repetition and the risk to other people, we may apply any of the following measures, in any order and without a warning:

removal or hiding of content — a photograph, a description or a message stops being shown;
restriction on new contacts — the account can no longer like profiles and stops appearing in other people’s search results;
restriction on messaging — the account can no longer send messages;
full block — the account loses access to the platform, temporarily or permanently;
report to the competent authorities where the violation appears to be a criminal offence.

A restricted account is told that a restriction is in force and, in general terms, why. We are not obliged to disclose the details of an investigation, the evidence or the identity of the person who reported. If you believe a measure was applied in error, write to info@moimatch.org and we will review it once; our decision after that review is final.

Moderation is a right, not an obligation, and it is exercised at our discretion. The presence of content on the platform is not an indication that it has been reviewed or approved, and its removal is not an admission of any liability on our part.

6. Intellectual property

6.1. Rights of the Service Provider

The software, the interface, the design, the icon set, the texts of the platform, its databases, the name “MoiMatch” and the logos belong to the Service Provider or its licensors. Using the platform grants you no right to them beyond the limited licence described in the Terms of Use.

6.2. Licence to user content

Content published by Users remains theirs. By publishing it they grant the Service Provider the technical licence described in section 4 of the Terms of Use — to host, store, back up, re-encode, transmit and display it for the purpose of operating, moderating and securing the platform. Nothing on the platform is used for advertising or for training machine-learning models.

6.3. Names, trademarks and third-party material

Do not use another person’s name, photograph, trademark or brand in your profile in a way that suggests an association that does not exist, and do not upload material owned by someone else without their permission.

7. Handling data on the platform

7.1. Prohibited data practices

collecting, copying, scraping, indexing or storing data about other Users, in bulk or systematically, by any means;
combining data from the platform with data from other sources to identify, profile or locate a person;
publishing anywhere the content, photographs, correspondence or personal details of another User without their consent;
using contact details obtained through the platform to send unsolicited messages, offers or advertising;
attempting to determine the exact location of another User, including by triangulation of distances shown by the Service.

These practices are a serious violation. They lead to a permanent block and may also be unlawful under the law that applies to you — in which case the responsibility is entirely yours.

7.2. Storage and deletion

The platform is built on the principle that nothing is erased physically: deletion marks an item as deleted and removes it from the interface, while the record and the file remain in our systems and stay accessible to authorised administrators. This is what allows a report made long after the event to be investigated properly. The consequences for you, and the rights you may have under your own law, are described in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.

8. Platform security

Security measures are described in section 9 of the Privacy Policy: encrypted transport, hashed passwords and rotating sign-in tokens, validation and re-encoding of uploads, unguessable file names, captcha and rate limits, a strict content security policy on our pages, separate administrator accounts and a full audit trail.

Reporting a vulnerability

If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to info@moimatch.org with enough detail to reproduce it, and give us a reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it publicly. Do not access, modify or delete other people’s data, do not degrade the Service, and do not use the finding for any other purpose. A report made in good faith and within these limits will not lead to any action against you on our side.

Incidents

If an incident affects the security of your data, we will notify affected Users and, where required, the competent authority, within the time limits set by the law that applies, and describe what happened and what to do.

9. Allocation of responsibility

The platform transmits and stores material created by Users. Each User bears sole responsibility for the content they publish, for the messages they send and for the way they behave towards other people, and for every consequence of that content and behaviour, including claims by third parties, administrative penalties and criminal liability under the law that applies to them.

The Service Provider is not the author of User content, does not verify Users or their statements, and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, accepts no liability for:

content, statements, promises or conduct of any User, on the platform or outside it;
any meeting, transaction, relationship or dispute between Users;
the accuracy or completeness of anything published by Users;
loss, corruption or unavailability of content, or the failure of a message or notification to be delivered;
interruptions, faults, maintenance or the discontinuation of any feature;
the operation, availability, terms or content of third-party services;
a moderation decision or restriction applied in good faith.

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. The limitation of liability, the monetary cap and the indemnity in section 9 of the Terms of Use apply to this Policy in full, as do the protections that mandatory law gives you.

If your content or your conduct causes a claim against us — from another User, a person shown in your material, a rights holder or an authority — you undertake to hold us harmless and to bear the resulting costs, to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you.

10. Suspension and termination of access

We may suspend or terminate access to the platform, in whole or in part, for a single account or for everyone, where this is necessary for maintenance, for security, to comply with the law, or because of a violation of our documents. Where the interruption is planned and significant, we give notice through the Service when it is reasonably possible.

We may also discontinue the platform or any client of it. In that case we will give Users reasonable notice through the Service so that they can save what matters to them. No compensation is due, as the Service is provided free of charge.

11. Third-party services

The platform relies on a small number of external services:

map tiles from a public OpenStreetMap-based provider — requested by your device when a map is shown;
push delivery through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and the push services of Apple and Google;
e-mail delivery through our mail provider;
Telegram, for the bot;
application stores, for distributing and updating the mobile applications;
hosting of our servers and storage.

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, over which we have no control and for which we accept no responsibility. Front-end libraries are served from our own servers rather than from content delivery networks, so our pages make no unnecessary requests to third parties.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy at any time. The current version is published at moimatch.org/docs/platform with the date of the last update in its header. Material changes are announced through the Service before they take effect; continued use of the platform after that means you accept them.
