This privacy policy applies to the MoiMatch app (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) for mobile devices, created by LoadStar Games (hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider”) as a free service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

The Application is a dating service for adults: it is intended solely for persons who are at least 18 years old.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

  • Your device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
  • The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
  • The time spent on the Application
  • The operating system you use on your mobile device, the device model and the version of the Application

The Application does collect precise information about the location of your mobile device, because finding people nearby is its core function. Location is used to show you profiles near you and to show other users how far away you are; in profiles other users never receive your coordinates, only a distance. You may set your location manually instead — by choosing a city, in which case the map shows you at a random point inside that city, or by placing a point on the map yourself, in which case the map shows exactly the point you placed. You can enable or disable location services at any time through your mobile device settings.

The Application does not use artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or to provide its features.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information and required notices.

For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to a user identifier (userId), an e-mail address, a name, a date of birth, a gender, photographs, a description of yourself, and the messages, photographs and voice recordings you send to other users. The information requested will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.

You decide what to publish in the Application. Everything you publish in your profile is shown to other users of the Application, and everything you send in a conversation is delivered to its recipient; you are solely responsible for that content and for the way you communicate with other users.

Permissions Used by the Application

The Application asks for a permission only at the moment the corresponding feature is used, and every permission can be refused or withdrawn later in your device settings:

  • Location — to search for people near you; you may decline and choose a city manually
  • Photos, media and camera — to upload photographs to your album or to send them in a conversation
  • Microphone — to record voice messages
  • Notifications — to inform you about new matches, likes and messages

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement.

The Application uses third-party services that deliver push notifications to your device (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and the notification services of Google and Apple), a mail provider that sends service e-mails, and a public OpenStreetMap-based provider of map images, which your device contacts when a map is displayed. The Application shows advertising, but it contains no advertising networks, no advertising SDKs, no analytics services and no marketing trackers — see “Advertising” below.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process
  • When they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request
  • With their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement

Advertising

The Application displays advertising of the Service Provider’s own. Ad blocks appear among profiles on the map and as a card in the swipe deck, and each one is marked as advertising.

No advertising network or advertising SDK is embedded in the Application. Ad images are stored on the Service Provider’s own file storage and are delivered by the Service Provider’s own servers, so displaying an ad sends no request to any advertising company and no third party learns that you saw it. The Application assigns no advertising identifier and performs no cross-app or cross-site tracking.

When an ad block is actually displayed on your screen, the Service Provider records which ad it was, when it happened, which account saw it and on which platform, and whether you tapped it. These records are used to count impressions and clicks. Advertisers receive aggregate totals only — never your profile, your location, your identifier, or any information that identifies you.

An advertiser may ask that an ad be shown only to people matching certain criteria, such as platform, gender, age range, distance from a city or interface language. Those criteria are evaluated on the Service Provider’s servers when the ad is selected; the advertiser never receives the data used to evaluate them.

Tapping an ad opens the advertiser’s website in your device’s browser, outside the Application. That website is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Advertising cannot be switched off per account: it is part of how the Application is provided free of charge.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. You may also delete your account from the menu of the Application or at moimatch.org/delete-account, after which your profile is no longer shown to anyone and sign-in is disabled.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Because the Application is a moderated dating service, content and account records are marked as deleted rather than erased when you remove them: they stop being shown to other users but remain in the Service Provider’s systems and backups so that reports of abuse can be investigated and lawful requests can be answered.

If you’d like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at info@moimatch.org and they will respond in a reasonable time. Where the law that applies to you grants you a right to erasure, that right will be honoured under the conditions set by that law.

Children

The Application is intended for adults. The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 18.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission.

If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, or that a minor is using the Application, please contact the Service Provider at info@moimatch.org so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. Accounts that appear to belong to a minor are blocked. The Service Provider’s standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation are published in the Child Safety Policy.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as irreversible hashes, uploaded files are re-encoded (which removes metadata, including GPS tags) and stored under unguessable names, and every action taken by an administrator is written to an audit log.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.

Contact Us

If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at info@moimatch.org.

This notice covers the mobile applications. The full policy for all clients of the service — including the website and the Telegram bot — is the Privacy Policy, and the rules of use are set out in the Terms of Use.
